At the end of this course, participants should have gained hands-on experience of how they can apply the tools and techniques of Design Thinking to remain competitive, relevant and profitable within their business environment.

COURSE OVERVIEW​

Design Thinking is a key concept in the process of innovation which can be applied in the rapidly changing business environment. In this course, the concept of Design Thinking will be demystified to help participants understand that it is not just a buzz word. It will also delve into how this concept can be used in Product, Process and Business Innovation. 

Participants for this course can be selected from different departments and functions as the diverse perspectives from the various participants would enrich the engagement sessions.

Module 1: Stages of Design Thinking – Applying Design Thinking to Product, Process and Business Innovation; Empathy – The Foundation of Customer-Led Innovation; Define – Making Sense of Your Data; Ideate – How To Design for Users?; Prototype and Testing – Bringing Ideas to Life
Module 2: Factors Required for Successful Implementation of Design Thinking – Leadership; People; Process; Environment; Timing – Getting it right in execution of design thinking ideas
Module 3: Applying Design Thinking in a VUCA World – Managing Disruptive Threats through Design Thinking
Module 4: Design Thinking Workshop -Case Study Review of Companies that have applied Design Thinking in Business Solution; Class Activity – Group Challenge to Review Products and Processes of the organisation
